Weribee

T Projects delivered a series of major public art commissions with the South Eastern Program Alliance, for Victoria's Big Build Level Crossing Removal Project.

We worked with a number of specialist advisors to deliver a very special tribute to the emus which once roamed in this area, created by First Nations artists Vicki Couzens. The gigantic sculptures of emu feet stand at the base of two bridge columns and are based on a traditional Wadawurrung story.

The emu theme is also reflected in a series of footprints etched into a pathway leading towards Werribee River along with a ‘yarning circle’ representing an emu’s nest which provides a place for gathering and reflection.
